About Me

My name is Larniecia Rejeana Anise Smith.  Click here to learn how to correctly pronounce my first name.  I was born on June 26, 1983 to Larry Calvin Smith and Joyce Denise Harris. I have one sibiling who is six years my junior that I love tremendously.

I love the Lord with all my heart, mind, soul and strength.  I accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of my life at nine years old.  Thankfully my Mom raised me with the fear of the Lord.  The earliest memory of my Mom teaching me to pray was when I was in second grade (age 7).  She sat on my bed as I kneeled at my bedside.  She opened the Holy Bible to Psalm 23 and followed along as I read.  Mommie was right there to help me when I mispronounced words. She corrected me so gently.

March 31, 2000 was the day my father passed away.  He had been in the hospital since November of 1987.  I have a few treasured memories of him that I hope to share in a collection of memoirs in the near future.  I know my father loved me very much and that he also grew up with the fear of the Lord.  His mother, Margieree "Mudea" Smith nee' Crosby, was truly the matriarch of the family.  My father's family instantly embraced my mother and the Lord established Mudea to be a Naomi-like woman in my mother's life.

My grandmother provided both a spiritual and a natural covering for my mother.  To me, she is the original Naomi of my family and my mother, the original Ruth.  Their relationship is my first example of modern day Ruth and Naomi.  I had a blessed childhood.
